Larry Nichols, Devon Energy

Mr. Nichols is co-founder, chairman and CEO of Devon energy Corporation, one of the nation's largest independent natural gas and oil procuders.  Nichols graduated from Princeton University with a bachelor's degree in geology.  He completed his juris doctorate at the University of Michigan in 1967, where he was a member of the Order of Coif and comment editor of Law Review.  

A leader in the industry, Nichols serves as chairman of the American Petroleum Institute and is on the executive committee of the board of directors for America's Natural Gas Alliance.  Other boards that Mr. Nichols is a member of are: Business Industry Political Action Committee in Washington, D.C., Baker Hughes Incorporated, and Sonic Corp. 

John Pinkerton, Range Resources Corporation

John H. Pinkerton, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and a director, became a director in 1988 and was elected Chairman of the Board of Directors in 2008. He joined Range as President in 1990 and was appointed Chief Executive Officer in 1992. Previously, Mr. Pinkerton was Senior Vice President of Snyder Oil Corporation ("Snyder"). Before joining Snyder in 1980, Mr. Pinkerton was with Arthur Andersen. Mr. Pinkerton received his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Texas Christian University and a Master’s degree from the University of Texas at Arlington

 

Jim Hackett, Anadarko

Mr. Hackett was named Chief Executive Officer of Houston-based Anadarko Petroleum Corporation in December 2003, and Chairman of the Board of the Company in January 2006.
Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Hackett was the President and Chief Operating Officer of Devon Energy Corporation from April 2003 to December 2003, following Devon's merger with Ocean Energy, Inc. Mr. Hackett was Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Ocean Energy, Inc. from March 1999 to April 2003 and was Chairman of the Board from January 2000 to April 2003. He served as Chief Executive Officer and President of Seagull Energy Corporation from September 1998 until March 1999 and as Chairman of the Board from January 1999 to March 1999 prior to its merger with Ocean Energy.
He is a director of Fluor Corporation and Halliburton Company and serves as Chairman of the Board of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. He was recently named Chairman of America's Natural Gas Alliance (ANGA).
